SOWE Music Festival

On Saturday, I covered the Southern Westchester Music Festival where the community came together to listen to their favorite bands, eat from various food trucks, and enjoy the beautiful weather. For more, tune into my segment on the Local Live this Thursday. unnamed

I am proud of this segment because it’s the first segment that I produced at the Better Show. I came up with the name from ABC’s hit show ‘Scandal’ and wanted to make a segment about the trendiest sandals this spring.

You can watch it on the show’s website.

On Thursday, I was given the opportunity to anchor for the first time–alone! I was nervous but knew it was a great chance to practice what I love.

Jonathan Hedvat is the founder of Storied.TV. What is Storied.TV exactly? Well, it’s a website that Jonathan created filled with stories of homeless people sharing their stories. The stories are short, but they are so captivating. At 3W, a few of us decided it would be a good idea to reach out to Jonathan and get to know more about him and his thoughts behind Storied.TV.

Though I am not reporting in this, I did produce and edit it. A model from 3W, a co-worker and myself walked around the city with Jonathan as he handed out t-shirts and other small products to homeless people that he has grown to know from making these videos.

Here is Jonathan’s point of view about Storied.TV.
